This simple question inspired illustrator Soman's artistic journey, now captured in this beautiful art book.
"雨, 云" (Woo, Un) takes its name from the Chinese character for cloud ('雲'), split into '雨' (rain) and '云' (cloud). The book presents black and white illustrations created with 3mm lines and tiny dots, depicting a cloud's journey from formation to dissolution, leading viewers into a meditative experience reminiscent of space.
Featuring 17 illustrations on special layered tracing paper, each page is hand-attached to create a unique visual and tactile experience. The included pamphlet contains an interview with the artist.
