Our thoughts on 'Om Shanti Om'
'OM SHANTI OM' is a Bollywood movie as some of you may already know — a slight departure from our traditional “arthouse” releases.
The story-line is pretty straightforward as you’d expect from a Masala film. But the grand design / scale of the production with dance numbers will leave you enthralled. The story is set around the Bollywood industry itself, which is why we believe that it’s the perfect introduction to the genre if you’ve never seen a Bollywood film before.
An Indian film may not be your thing, but please keep an open mind to world cinema like Bollywood. Plain Archive does not solely focus on critically acclaimed arthouse films. Releasing a series of culturally-diverse films is more important to us. Even though we understand the lack in popularity, we won’t be pouring less effort into this release. In fact, we’ll be taking extra steps to ensure that we come up with the best possible edition. OM SHANTI OM was a big success in India, but also in Korea as well. Actors Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone are both huge stars of Bollywood.
If you are a Plain Archive fan from overseas, we expect most of you to not have seen the movie. But perhaps releasing an Indian film is something that we ought to ambitiously try at least once, given the opportunity. There’s no need to purchase all of our releases “to collect ‘em all”. On the contrary, we believe that it’s better if you buy the releases you want to watch. But halting your Plain Archive collection altogether because of OM SHANTI OM hurts our feelings. Plain Archive will always strive for producing quality Blu-ray editions of well-made films, that are worth watching. The packaging is merely an icing on the cake.

We are thrilled to announce one of our 2015 Exclusive Steelbook releases: Foxcatcher. Most of you probably have not seen this movie yet due to its limited release.
At the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, Bennett Miller won the Best Director Award and the three main leads –– Steve Carell, Channing Tatum, and mark Ruffalo have all garnered attention for their performances.
This is without a doubt, our most ambitious project of 2015 right next to Oldboy.
Synopsis : Olympic Gold Medal-winning wrestler Mark Schultz (Channing Tatum) is struggling in obscurity and poverty in Wisconsin when he is invited by wealthy heir John du Pont (Steve Carell) to move on to his lavish estate to form a team and to train for the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Schultz seizes the opportunity, eager to step out of the shadow of his revered older brother Dave (Mark Ruffalo), a prominent wrestling coach and Gold Medal winner himself.
With his vast financial resources and state-of-the-art training facility at Foxcatcher Farm, du Pont appoints himself head coach of the team, eager to win the respect of his peers and the approval of his condemning mother (Vanessa Redgrave).
The dynamic between Schultz and du Pont deepens as Mark embraces his benefactor as a father figure. But du Pont's mercurial personality and psychological gameplay begins to weigh heavily on Mark's shaky self-esteem, undermining his abilities on the mat. When du Pont's favoritism shifts to brother Dave - who possesses the authority and confidence both he and Mark lack - the trio is propelled towards a tragedy no one could have foreseen.

Combo Pack items NOT sharing the same number.
We’ve NEVER guaranteed that you’ll be getting the same number for every item when purchasing our ISTD Triple-pack or the One-click Combo Pack. Some of our customers who ordered earlier than most could have gotten the same number for all. But some of our customers have ordered a single item and you can imagine how that would affect the Combo Pack items not sharing the same number.
With the release of <I Saw The Devil>, we’ve announced before the pre-order that the ‘first come first served lower number’ policy is for the first 100 copies only. The rest were distributed randomly.
The variations of “packs” were made available because there were many of you that asked for them. To show gratitude for your support, we’ve included the director’s hand-signed cards.
Our own policy of ‘lower number allocation on a first come first served basis’ is causing delays on shipments as well as customer email response. We’re operating with a very few people indeed.
As we gradually grow and sell more copies each month, it would become even more challenging for us to continue this policy. The ‘first come first served lower number’ policy which we implemented ourselves may face downsizing or shutdown in the near future.

PS. Other Korean steelbook publishers like Nova or Kimchi does offer matching numbers for their own Triple packs. The confusion is understandable, but we don’t share the same policy.

We’ve notified a few days ago that I Saw The Devil PET Full Slip encountered a production error.
If you’ve ordered the One Click Combo Pack (Three editions of I Saw The Devil + The Master), Triple Pack (Three editions of I Saw The Devil), or the Double Pack (I Saw The Devil PET Full Slip + The Master), we’ll be shipping those orders altogether on November 6th.
We would love to ship the PET Full Slip separately on November 6th, but not having more staff restricts us from doing that.
+ Please don't report this to Paypal. It has already given restrictions to our account, but there will be even more if there's a complaint from our customers. Further restrictions from Paypal may lead to giving up the international market. Please be patient so we can ship our products out in perfect condition.

[Important Notice] 'I Saw The Devil' PET Full Slip Production Delay (Printing Error)
Dear International customers,
We’ve encountered a printing error with the PET Full Slip. As you can see in the picture, the image on the spine has been shifted to the left by approximately 1mm / 0.04 inch.
Second production is underway and the PET Full Slip edition of <I Saw The Devil> will be released on November 6th.
The other two editions (Paper Full Slip & 1/4 slip) + <The Master> will be released on October 27th as scheduled.
We apologize for the delay, but your expectations and standards are too high and we simply cannot risk shipping mediocre products.
